Terrafranta is a working organic farm nestled in the hills of Florence, founded by Carlotta Chiocchini in 2021.

Self-taught, still studying and always learning, Carlotta’s approach is rooted in the belief that nature knows best – following regenerative practices, our aim is to increase soil fertility and contribute to building thriving ecosystems, keeping the landscape wild and our hands dirty.

We produce high quality extra-virgin olive oil, lavender, as well as officinal and aromatic herbs. The fruits of our land often become essential oils, aromatic waters, infusions mixes and sometimes they end up in our beer, too.

Terrafranta is also a playground for events and cultural productions, hosting creative residencies and explorations– the soundtrack to this page was created in one of those occasions by Seraina Fässler.

Our graphic identity is an adventure we've embarked on with Céline Hurka, dear friend of ours and fellow nature lover.

Our rural hospitality is open saturday to monday until the end of summer, from 7.30 pm to 10pm, booking required. You can book here.

We host private events and enjoy collaborating with all sorts of artisans, artists and makers.

You can find our products online, at the farm, or at our Florence shop (currently closed) - Bottega Agroecologica, in via S.Reparata 7r. What started as a way of bringing our own products to the city centre turned into a collaborative project where local farmers take turns running the shop, selling handmade, natural, high-quality products directly to customers, no middlemen involved. We sometimes run events in the Bottega as well - come say hi :)

We welcome exchanges and strongly believe in bartering; if you are looking to trade your skills, time or products, get in touch!
